Summit Professional Networks Scores Top Honors at the 2014 ASBPE Northeast Regional Awards

ThinkAdvisor, National Underwriter Property & Casualty and National Underwriter Life & Health take home grand total of six awards 

NEW YORK, NY July 2, 2014ThinkAdvisor, National Underwriter Property & Casualty, and National Underwriter Life & Health, all Summit Professional Networks properties, were named winners in six key categories in the American Society of Business Press Editors’ 2014 Azbee Awards of Excellence program. The annual awards, representing outstanding work by magazines, newsletters and digital media, are largely judged by peers in the B-to B publishing industry. This year, they recognized the re-launch of the website and the editorial excellence that is the hallmark of National Underwriter brands, including National Underwriter Property & Casualty and National Underwriter Life & Health.

Azbee awards for included three Gold Regional wins: Best Website Design, Best Website Redesign, and Best Website Home Page Design. is also a finalist for National Awards in the first two categories.

In addition, National Underwriter Property & Casualty won two Gold awards in two Northeast Regional categories for 2013 features, “The Sound of Thunder” and “Invisible Killer.”  “Both were collaborative, deeply humanizing stories that we are very proud of and really resonated with readers,” said Group Editorial Director Bill Coffin. Both of those features are up for National Awards, which will be announced later this month. Additionally, won a Bronze award for “The Darkness Within,” a compelling series on how the health insurance industry is failing the mentally ill. These awards, across several of our brands, indicate the commitment and talent of many individuals working together to achieve excellence in both design and editorial content.”

The Azbee is a highly coveted award in the Annual Awards Competition of the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) and recognizes outstanding work by magazines, newsletters, and digital media — websites, e-newsletters, digital magazines, and blogs. The regional awards were announced in June and will be followed by the national awards announcement this month.
