SEC to Hold Fixed-Income Roundtable April 16

Four-panel event will discuss potential ways to improve the transparency and efficiency of fixed-income markets

SEC LogoThe Securities and Exchange Commission announced Thursday that its fixed-income roundtable, to be held April 16, will discuss potential ways to improve the transparency and efficiency of fixed income markets.

The roundtable will take place at SEC headquarters in Washington and be divided into four panels: the first will address current market structure for municipal securities; the second will discuss current market structure for corporate bonds and asset-backed securities; the third will focus on whether potential steps can be taken to improve the transparency, liquidity, or efficiency of the market structure for municipal securities; and the fourth will focus on whether potential steps can be taken to improve the transparency, liquidity, or efficiency of the market structure for corporate bonds and asset-backed securities.

Panelists will be announced at a later date.
