SunGard Launches Mobile Report Access App for Advisors

App to access clients’ WealthStation reports available for tablets, too

Advisors can now have mobile access to their clients’ WealthStation financial planning reports, says SunGard, with the launch of its new WealthStation Mobile Report Access. The new app, which is also available on mobile tablets, facilitates increased collaboration and effectiveness of client meetings.

According to SunGard, the app helps support advisors’ financial planning and advice process outside of the office and gives advisors mobile access to their clients’ WealthStation financial planning reports wherever they are.

“SunGard is helping advisors provide a more dynamic client experience with mobile solutions that offer greater transparency and engagement,” said Jennifer Valdez in a statement. Valdez, senior vice president, product management and strategic design for SunGard’s wealth management business, added, “WealthStation Mobile Report Access provides advisors with tools to make the most of their client meetings and transform their client interactions, gain their confidence and establish a solid foundation to help client and revenue growth and retention.”

A February Forrester Research report titled The Top Five Trends In Digital Wealth Management For 2012 indicated that 75% of the world’s population connects to information through mobile devices. In a statement, Bill Doyle, vice president and principal analyst at Forrester Research, said, “For firms, the mobile Internet presents a watershed opportunity to create more continuous relationships with their clients.”

While most advisors prepare for client meetings with a presentation package of paper-based reports, which must be printed, collated and then transported to the client site, Mobile Report Access helps advisors by reducing the need to print and carry reports, and can also cut associated resource and printing costs.

Security is enhanced as well, since client data is not resident on the device but is accessible to advisors even at in-person offsite meetings with clients. Advisors can access data to show clients prepared scenarios, discuss their analysis of financial topics and attend to other relevant planning issues.
