Advisor Group, one of the largest independent broker-dealer networks in the nation, announced Thursday that it will roll out Salesforce.com’s customer relationship management system on the group’s single sign-on portal.
The technology launch allows Advisor Group’s nearly 5,000 financial advisors affiliated with FSC Securities, Royal Alliance and SagePoint Financial to use Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Chatter. The new technology is designed to let advisors connect more easily with their home office and fellow advisors.
The new CRM tool is one of many technological innovations that Advisor Group has planned for 2012, according to David Ballard, senior vice president and chief information officer of the IBD.
“We are very excited to bring Salesforce to our advisors,” Ballard said in a statement. “The technology is currently being beta-tested by a group of advisors and their feedback has been extremely positive. These advisors have already created discussion groups about important topics like reaching prospective clients and succession planning, and we’re confident this new tool will help advisors connect with one another to generate new ideas and grow their business.”
Salesforce.com will be integrated into Advisor Group’s VISION2020 Advisor Portal at no additional cost. Like all of Advisor Group’s technological offerings, Salesforce is available to advisors as part of their annual technology fee.
Advisor Portal is a single sign-on website that provides advisors access to their home office websites, client account information through Advisor Group’s VISION2020 account platforms, personalized news and alerts.
Advisor Group has made a number of enhancements to Advisor Portal since it was launched in 2010, including introducing wealth management software, social media capabilities and now Salesforce’s fully integrated CRM solution.
