Prudential Hires Kara Segreto as Chief Marketing Officer

Segreto will be responsible for Retirement unit's marketing efforts

Prudential Retirement announced Jan. 26 that Kara Segreto has been named chief marketing officer. Segreto will be responsible for developing and implementing Prudential Retirement's marketing efforts that support the company's defined contribution, defined benefit, stable value, retirement income, retirement plan strategies, pension risk transfer, and non-qualified benefits lines of business.

Segreto will also be responsible for managing market research and competitive intelligence teams, as well as leading marketing and participant communications and educations programs for clients and intermediaries.

Segreto holds FINRA Series 6, 26 and 63 licenses, and has held several marketing positions with Prudential, including leading Prudential Retirement’s Integrated Marketing & Strategy, and serving as director of Participant Programs. She has an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Business.

As of Sept. 30, 2010, Prudential Retirement had over $194 billion in retirement account values. The company serves nearly 3.7 million participants and annuitants.
