New York-based money management firm Neuberger Berman Group LLC announced Monday that Eli M. Salzman has joined the company. He will be a managing director and portfolio manager specializing in U.S. large-cap value equity strategies; his presence will expand the firm’s institutional capabilities in that niche.
Before coming to Neuberger Berman, Salzman was a partner at Lord, Abbett & Co., where he had been since 1997. While there, he managed more than $10 billion in U.S. large-cap value equities. The 46-year-old Salzman was previously at Mutual of America and also Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management.
Joseph Amato, Neuberger Berman’s president and chief investment officer, said in a statement, “Eli Salzman is a well-regarded and highly experienced portfolio manager with a history of delivering superior investment performance for institutional and retail clients. We’re delighted that he has chosen Neuberger Berman as his new home.”
Salzman commented on the firm’s history, research capabilities and performance, saying, “The firm has a unique investment culture and I am excited to be a part of it.”
