Adhesion Announces Changes to Web Platform

Changes will include iPad capabilities

Adhesion Wealth Advisor Solutions announced Aug. 24 that it is enhancing its WealthADV technology platform to, among other things, provide advisors access via the iPad.

Adhesion provides advisors with practice management tools, performance reporting and customizable investment management solutions.

As of October 2010, advisors will have complete access to the WealthADV platform while using an iPad. Apps for use with iPhone and Android smart phones will be available.

The move is the first step in a "major upgrade," according to the company.

"It's time for Advisor 3.0," Michael Stier, president and CEO of Adhesion, said in a press release. "The industry is experiencing a series of events that will likely change it forever--financial crises, failed institutions, and regulatory changes; consolidation, breakaway brokers, and a 'post-Madoff-wary' investor. There is a fundamental reshaping of the industry taking place, and Adhesion has created the solutions that will help RIAs thrive from the resulting opportunities."

Adhesion is not the first company to recognize the growing use of digital devices, including the iPad. Investment Advisor recently reported that companies like Fiserv and Pershing are among the latest firms to offer digital solutions to manage client accounts.
