...The Treasury Department announced on July 8 the nine investment firms chosen to participate in the trimmed-down Legacy Securities Public-Private Investment Program (PPIP) designed to remove toxic securities from the banking system. Schultheis will become president of a new mutual fund division within Hatteras

...Charles Schwab Investment Management has added to its lineup the Laudus Growth Investors U.S. Large Cap Growth Fund, successor to the UBS U.S. Large Cap Growth Fund. It will continue to be managed by Growth Investors using a "pure growth" strategy.
