Moss Adams's Alumni Launch Consulting Firm

Dan Inveen, Eliza De Pardo to lead FA Insight

Dan Inveen and Eliza De Pardo, two former Moss Adams LLP consultants, announced the formation of a new consulting firm called FA Insight that its two principals said is designed to carry on the Moss Adams penchant for providing a "reliable source of business benchmarking information." Based in Tacoma, Washington, the new firm will provide consulting services and primary research for RIAs, broker/dealers, custodians, associations, and other firms.

Inveen will be director of research at FA Insight, while De Pardo will be director of consulting, providing assistance on all areas of human capital, especially compensation planning and organizational structure, along with strategic planning, operating model development, and marketing.

Inveen ran the marketing research operations at Russell Investment Group before joining Moss Adams, where as senior research manager he managed the annual Moss Adams Studies of the advisory universe. He wrote a feature article for Investment Advisor on the most recent Study in the October issue of Investment Advisor http://www.investmentadvisor.com/Issues/2008/October%202008/Pages/The-Architects.aspx) and delivered the findings of the 2008 study at the December Investment Advisor Moss Adams Advisor Summit, along with former colleagues Rebecca Pomering, Philip Palaveev, and Mark Tibergien.

De Pardo, a senior consultant on the Moss Adams consulting group, has 12 years of consulting experience, worked as a senior business consultant in practice management for MLC, the wealth management division of National Australia Bank Group, and served as a lecturer for the Securities Institute of Australia.

In a prepared statement, Tibergien, now CEO of Pershing Advisor Solutions, said "I was very proud of the way in which our research at Moss Adams helped shape the best practices for how advisory firms and broker/dealers are managed. I am excited to see FA Insight build on this legacy. The team at FA Insight is well-positioned to provide much-needed business guidance for advisors during these challenging times."

Palaveev, now CEO of Fusion Financial Network, said in a statement that "As the consulting principals at Moss Adams considered the next steps in our own careers, we had a strong desire to ensure an ongoing solution would be available to advisors. The launch of FA Insight will ensure that solution is available."
