LPL Financial, the largest independent broker/dealer with over 11,000 representatives, has named Robert Moore as CFO, succeeding Bill Maher. Maher was CFO and a managing director of LPL, and had returned to the company from a leave of absence just this past March; LPL President and COO Esther Stearns had been acting CFO during his leave.
Moore most recently served as CFO and CEO of ABN AMRO's North American operations, which included LaSalle Bank. He previously held positions at U.K.-based beverage company Diageo PLC, Duff and Phelps, Harris Investment Management, and Northern Trust. When he assumes his new position September 2, Moore will report to LPL Chairman and CEO Mark Casady.
