XShares Advisors and RPG Consultants, a retirement plan provider of record keeping, administration, and consulting services, will provide plan sponsors with the ability to add any of the 550 ETFs currently trading in the U.S. to their retirement plan portfolios. RPG will also allow plans to offer XShares Advisors' TDAX family of target-date ETFs, the first lifecycle ETFs to be introduced to the market as the default option in their 401(k)s.

...John Hancock College Savings is lowering the annual program management fee for current and future John Hancock Freedom 529 Savings Plan account holders on a weighted average basis by approximately 30%, effective December 1.

...The American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance has published a new eight-page guide providing tax and planning information related to long-term care insurace. The guide provides federal tax deductibility limits for both 2007 and 2008. The new brochure is available at www.AALTCI.org.

...Vanguard has introduced its Market Neutral Fund following the recent reorganization of the Laudus Rosenberg U.S. Large/Mid Capitalization Long/Short Equity Fund (RMNIX) into the Vanguard fund. The fund seeks performance that exceeds the returns of three-month U.S. Treasury bills, and offers two share classes--Investor (VMNFX) and Institutional (VMNIX)--with estimated expense ratios of 0.50% and 0.40%, respectively. The minimum initial investment is $250,000 for Investor Shares and $5 million for Institutional Shares.
