Advisor confidence continues to improve

Rydex Investments reports that its Advisor Confidence Index increased in April and May. The ACI -- which surveys advisors on the U.S. economy and markets -- improved slightly in May to 115.98, up from 115.88 in April. The company attributes the rise to improvements in market conditions since October 2005.

The May survey also asked advisors about their use of commodities and currency investments in client portfolios. The results show that 40 percent of registered investment advisors have increased their recommendations of commodities. A breakdown of the survey reveals:

  • Current economic outlook is +3.07%
  • Six-month economic outlook is +0.43%
  • 12-month economic outlook is -2.07%
  • Stock market outlook is -1.63%
