EIM Group Appoints U.S. CIO

NEW YORK (HedgeWorld.com)--William Bijesse was named chief investment officer of EIM's U.S. operations as of Aug. 2.

Mr. Bijesse was at Boston-based consulting firm Cambridge Associates, where he managed and advised on more than US$2 billion in assets, the majority of which were in hedge funds, according to EIM officials.

As part of the new position, he will sit on EIM's global investment committee and as a partner will report directly to EIM Chairman and Founder, Arpad Busson.

Mr. Bijesse will be responsible for investment strategy, asset allocation and manager selection processes for the U.S. research team. He will also work closely with Eric Bissonnier, who is chief investment officer for Europe and Asia.

Mr. Busson said in a statement that Mr. Bijesse's experience would enable him to develop and manage the U.S. team to the highest standards and to contribute to the overall global platform.

"The EIM Group is strongly committed to growing assets and developing and expanding the business in the U.S.," Mr. Busson said. EIM manages the assets of high-net-worth individuals and institutions by allocating US$9.5 billion to third-party money managers.
